OVER 400 booths comprising 180 local and international exhibitors will be set up under one roof at the 21st Consumer Fair (CF21) from June 27 to July 1 at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas.
Due to the huge number, the Blue Zone, previously located at the east side of the ICC is relocated to the parking areas at the west side to accommodate more than 100 booths under a tent.
Some 200 representatives of participating companies and establishments attended an exhibitor’s briefing for CF21 yesterday afternoon at the D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd premises.
The attendees were updated on the latest developments, logistic concerns, rules and regulations. Details of the opening ceremony on the morning of June 27 were also revealed.
A marketing and events management executive of D’Sunlit reminded exhibitors that they must apply certification for imported cosmetics, food and beverages, and medicines from the Ministry of Health.
Exhibitors were also not encouraged to sell fake and counterfeit items.
Companies offering sales or promotional discounts are required to inform the Department of Economic Planning and Development (JPKE), Prime Minister’s Office through the Consumer Affairs Division (CAD) before doing so.
She also iterated that any religious books, design elements, and accessories will have to go through the censorship and exhibition unit of the Islamic Religious Knowledge Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs for approval.
Prior to the briefing, a signing ceremony between the organiser of CF21 D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd and DST Communications Sdn Bhd took place, appointing DST as event activity partner.
DST will also give out quizzes during the event. Another signing appointed Kristal FM (KFM) as event official broadcast radio.
Signing on behalf of DST were Senior Manager of Group Marketing Dona Eldeyana binti Johan with Manager of Marketing Group Hajah Safrina binti Pehin Dato Haji Abdul Rahman.
Dona Eldeyana and Manager of Group Marketing of KFM Haji Azmi Ghazali signed to appoint KFM as the official broadcast radio.
The theme of CF21, Glitch and Tech, aims to incorporate technological breakthroughs that can happen even when glitches occur.
The activities during the event include a giant human claw machine which features many prizes to be won instantly.
A highlight of the fair is a grand lucky draw where participants will have the opportunity to walk away with fabulous prizes.
