THE second flight of Haj pilgrims from Brunei Darussalam departed for Madinah from the Brunei International Airport on Saturday at 10pm on board the Royal Brunei Airlines flight BI4203.
A total of 254 passengers, 101 male and female pilgrims under Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd, 150 male and female pilgrims under Straits Central Agencies (B) Sdn Bhd, accompanied by three officers from the Haj Affairs Medical Office were onboard.
The passengers were sent off by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and his spouse, as well as Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Jaafar and his spouse.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Finance Dato Seri Paduka Awang Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof and his spouse, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Abdul Manap bin Othman, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications Haji Azhar bin Haji Ahmad, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang and spouse, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Professional) at the Ministry of Health Dr Haji Zulaidi bin Haji Abdul Latif, Charge D’Affaires (Deputy Head of Mission) at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Brunei Darussalam Hussain Mohammed Ad-Dajaani as well as directors, assistant directors, senior officers at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and managing directors of companies handling Haj packages.
A Doa Selamat was recited by Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran bin Haji Kunchang, while the call to prayer was carried out by Mudim Haji Abdul Suhaili bin Haji Kalong.
