SOME 28 senior government officials made a study visit to the Brunei Council of Social Welfare (MKM) office in Kampong Sungai Hanching yesterday.
The officials are undergoing the Executive Development Programme for Senior Government Officials (EDSGO).
The senior government officials were briefed on the background, activities and programmes that were carried out by MKM Treasurer Dr Hajah Kamariah binti Abu Salim followed by a Fidyah Scheme, Legal Talks and Legal Clinic by a Syariah legal counsellor from Yusof Halim & Partners Mohamad Shahray bin Zulkifli and the council’s Staple Food Assistance programme and projects by Dr Hajah Fatimah binti Haji Chuchu. Hajah Zaiton binti Abu Salim, meanwhile, shared about projects and activities that were carried abroad such as the Humanitarian Relief for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
The EDSGO aimed to develop the quality and leadership capabilities of the senior government officials.
