THE Internal Security Department (ISD) yesterday held the first of its series of roadshows at Supa Save in Panaga, Seria. The two-day event is being held in conjunction with the Silver Jubilee celebrations.
ISD Deputy Director Mohd Zalani bin Haji Ismail welcomed the arrival of Acting Belait District Officer cum guest of honour Ridzuan bin Haji Ahmad.
Senior ISD personnel as well as government department officers, officials from Brunei Shell Petroluem Company Sdn Bhd (BSP), Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd, Smart (B) Sdn Bhd, and Ben Foods (B) Sdn Bhd were also in attendance.
Themed Integriti Keselamatan Gagasan Wawasan, the roadshow saw the involvement of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Information Department, Royal Brunei Police Force, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Narcotics Control Bureau, Immigration and National Registration Department, Labour Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Islamic Da’wah Centre, Religious Enforcement Division and Halal Food Control Division.
The roadshow aimed to help raise security awareness among the public, highlight the issues/matters faced by the agencies involved and spread the word on how the public can contact the ISD (Hotline 133, 7103133 or email isd133@kdn.gov.bn) to lodge complains on matters of concern.
Games and quizzes have been lined up for the public, allowing them to expand their knowledge on the laws of Brunei Darussalam.
The roadshow is slated to make its way to the Tutong District on September 29-30 (at the Hua Ho Department Store, Petani Mall), Temburong District on October 27- 28 (Bumiputra Utama Complex) and the Brunei-Muara District from November 22-25 (The Mall Gadong).
