The guest of honour also toured the exhibition booths and launched ‘BIBD Aspirasi’, a unique flexible savings scheme from Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) to help inculcate a savings culture with prudent money management.

The event, held for the second consecutive year, is organised in conjunction with National Savings Day, celebrated every May 28 in Brunei Darussalam. This year’s National Savings Day is themed ‘Financially Literate Generation’.

This year’s showcase includes a variety of programmes and events including Teka & Menang, Troli Bajet, Financial Hunt, Money Personality and Learning How to Budget, Financial Crossword Puzzle and Budget Game. Among the highlights is a performance by BruHaHa Comedy in the evening.

The financial showcase provides an opportunity for consumers to compare financial products under one roof and to conduct financial health checks. Participating in this year’s financial showcase are BIBD, Baiduri Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB), Takaful Brunei Keluarga (TBK), Great Eastern Life Assurance, TAP, Financial Planning Association of Brunei Darussalam (FPAB), and Centre for Islamic Banking, Finance and Management (CIBFM).

Ministry of Health officials will also share information on mental health.
