AEGIS Secure Solutions Sdn Bhd marked its 20th anniversary with a dinner reception last night held at Tarindak D’Seni, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Present as the guest of honour was Minister of Finance II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah.
Also present were AEGIS’s clients, supporters and business partners who have been part of the company success throughout the decades.
The event began with a welcoming speech by the Director of AEGIS, Ahmad Isa who highlighted on the main achievements for the security company since it was first established in 1998.
The company was formerly known as Securicor Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between AEGIS Sdn Bhd and Jardine Securico and was one of the first security companies to be licensed in Brunei.
The company has gone through several name changes – G4S Security Services in 2006, and G4S Secure Solutions in 2010.
In 2016 G4S sold its shares to local shareholders and was renamed AEGIS Secure Solutions Sdn Bhd, a locally owned company with over 600 employees.
Earlier on, the guest of honour along with the top level management of AEGIS viewed two generations of armoured vehicles belong to the security company for use of their daily operations.
The night also saw a congratulatory speech made by AEGIS Country Manager Jorge Vega followed by the launching of AEGIS corporate video and the cutting of AEGIS 20th anniversary cake.
Twenty-three AEGIS employees were also awarded with the Long Service awards presented by the guest of honour and AEGIS top management.
To enliven the celebration, skit shows were performed by AEGIS staff, demonstrating the cash and guarding services.
AEGIS Secure Solutions Sdn Bhd is the only company in Brunei offering an end-to-end cash service involving the secure collection and distribution of banknotes and coins (Cash in Transit), cash processing and vaulting, and full ATM management services utilising armoured vehicles and state-of-the-art protection devices.
Among their services include K9 services, Manned Security Services (security guards), and Electronic Security Services (Alarm monitoring, CCTV installation and maintenance, and access control devices).
A new venture for AEGIS is the maintenance of Astrophysics X-Ray machines and qualified staff on Astrophysics certified advanced technician.
The company maintain close working relationship with Jino Motors Korea for the provision of anti-riot equipment such as water vehicles for law enforcement.
