THE Ministry of Health (MoH) celebrated the new Islamic year 1440 Hijrah and a Doa Selamat for the safe return of the medical officers and Haj pilgrims at Al-’Afiah Hall at the ministry yesterday.
The guest of honour was Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof in his capacity as the Acting Minister of Health.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ustaz Haji Nor Asilin bin Haji Puting followed by a special talk on Ilmu dan Amal Menjana Kesihatan Mengikut Contoh Kehidupan Rasulullah SAW by Accredited Da’ie from Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) Ustaz Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak.
It continued with Dikir to celebrate the return of six medical officers and 14 nurses and 36 Haj pilgrims of MoH.
Also present were Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Professional) at the MoH Dr Haji Zulaidi bin Haji Abdul Latif, heads of departments, officers and staff members of the ministry.
