SYARIKAT Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd hosted a seminar on Motor Vehicle Survey/Loss Adjusting at the Takaful Brunei Head Office in Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday.
Kelvin Koay of Koays Consulting Pte Ltd conducted the seminar.
Takaful Brunei Am Sdn Bhd (TBA) General Manager Barudin bin Haji Kudil, management, officers and TBA staff attended the seminar. The seminar catered to the training of engineers, technical executives, legal professionals and insurance/Takaful claims officers involved with investigating and reconstructing road traffic accidents.
Koay is the only professional traffic accident reconstructionist in Asia accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction, USA. He has over 30 years of engineering, transport and management experience and is a recognised expert witness for subordinate and high courts.
He investigated and reconstructed several fatal and serious traffic accidents involving single and multiple vehicles (cars, motorcycles, vans, trucks, buses) and pedestrians. The seminar raised issues affecting the insurance and Takaful industry among stakeholders. It aimed to improve the industry particularly for road safety and motor insurance.
