A TOTAL of 18 religious school students, comprising children of personnel of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), were celebrated in a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony recently. The ceremony was held at Multi-Purpose Hall of Police Training Centre in Gadong.
The guest of honour was Deputy Commissioner of Police Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour followed by the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony. The event proceeded with the presentation of certificates to the Khatam Al-Quran participants by the guest of honour.
The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The objectives of the event were to encourage the students to read Al-Quran and to ensure the completion before finishing their Primary 6 in religious school, as well as to strengthen the ties among parents, teachers and students.
