FOUR Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences (PAPRSB IHS) of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) students from BHSc Medicine Programme 2016/17 under the module Special Study Module III (HM-3211) in collaboration with the Paraplegics and Physically Disabled Association (PAPDA) organised a community project to collect donations for PAPDA.
The project led to a one-day outreach community event at The Airport Mall in Berakas as well as a recording of a documentary film on people with physical disabilities to be broadcast on Radio Television Brunei (RTB) and social media.
Meanwhile, Damit WorleyParsons Engineering Sdn Bhd donated two small adult sized elbow crutches and three wheelchairs of one semi-light and two heavy-duty sizes at the PAPDA Bungalow in Kampong Kiarong yesterday.
Presenting the donation on behalf of Damit WorleyParsons Engineering Sdn Bhd was its Assurance Manager Halimah Mardziah binti Ahmad while receiving on behalf of PAPDA was its Deputy Chairman Haji Sahari bin Haji Tinggal.
The project was carried out by Nur Aimi Diyana binti Damit, Syahirah binti Abdul Aziz, Khaidiel Fiqrie bin Ahmad and Siti Munirah binti Muhamad.
