HER Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam consented to grace a birthday celebration in Her Majesty’s honour organised by the Association of Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries and its affiliated members.
The event was held at the Royal Berkshire Hall of the Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club in Jerudong. Her Majesty was accompanied by Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam.
Her Majesty was greeted by the association’s Chairperson I Seri Laila Pengiring Diraja Datin Seri Utama Dayang Hajah Rosnah binti Abdullah and Chairperson II, Datin Paduka Hajah Jahrah binti Haji Mohamad as well as spouses of Cabinet Ministers and deputy ministers.
Her Majesty and the royal entourage consented to a group photo with members of the association followed by a welcoming remark by Chairperson II Datin Paduka Hajah Jahrah.
Datin Paduka Hajah Jahrah expressed appreciation for Her Majesty in consenting to grace the event which reflected the closeness of Her Majesty to the people.
The Chairperson II extended prayers on behalf of the association that Her Majesty be blessed with longevity and continuous good health, strong faith and be blessed with happiness with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
“May Allah the Almighty continue to bless the present life and the hereafter of His Majesty and members of the royal family,” she added.
Her Majesty consented to cut a birthday cake and receive a birthday card and pesambah from members of the association.
The ceremony was enlivened with several performances by members of the association including the singing of Selamat Puja Usia that was composed for Her Majesty’s birthday celebration.
Her Majesty also consented to a Junjung Ziarah from members of the association.
