A TOTAL of 152 Ministry of Development (MoD) retirees on Thursday received certificates of appreciation in a ceremony at the MoD building.
Minister of Development cum guest of honour Dato Seri Sertia Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar presented the certificates to the retirees. Acting Director of Finance and Administration at the MoD Mohamad Iskandar bin Haji Idris, the chairman of the organising committee, said, “Every contribution and sacrifice made in carrying out duties within the ministry, department and government agencies will always be appreciated – whether big or small.”
A special talk titled Kita Adalah Hamba Allah was delivered by Haji Jupri bin Haji Hidup from the Mosque Affairs Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The aim of the ceremony was to appreciate the retirees who have served the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, especially in MoD and its departments.
Deputy Minister of Development Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin, Permanent Secretary at the MoD Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Permanent Secretary at the MoD Haji Amer Hishamuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Amar Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Zakaria, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MoD Hajah Norhayati binti Haji Mohammad Yaakob, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MoD Hajah Siti Aidah binti Haji Mohammad and senior officers were also present.
