TELEKOM Brunei Berhad (TelBru) is looking at expanding its retail presence in the coming months and years, said Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Holliday in an interview at the official reopening of their most popular branch in Citis Square yesterday, after three weeks of renovation works.

Currently, TelBru has 10 branches nationwide and a network of over 100 dealers.

When asked about the disruption issues of TelBru’s home Internet connection, he said, “We are trying to reduce copper theft that can cause disruption of Internet connection by upgrading homes in the country to fibre-optic.

Copper also has electricity in it, so during a heavy downpour, it may affect the connection. Fibre-optic gives perfect service in any weather condition and TelBru offers the fastest, as well as most reliable broadband in Brunei Darussalam, up to 300mbps. We are also looking at increasing the Internet speed again in the coming New Year.”

Through its newly-renovated branch in Citis Square, TelBru will continue to enhance its facilities and presence in busy commercial areas, with convenience and efficiency as part of its added value services to better serve its customers.

The changes to the company’s branch are part and parcel of TelBru’s efforts to provide uniformity throughout its various locations.

Sporting a fresh, vibrant and modern feel and look, TelBru Citis Square branch also includes a broadband clinic to serve walk-in customers seeking to configure, test or upgrade their Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), specifically the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) modem.

On the newly-renovated TelBru branch, Holliday said, “I am thrilled with the renovation; it offers a much better space for our staff and a much better environment for our customers. We put our customers in the centre of everything. There is now much easier access and less barriers between us and our customers.”

For bill payment, broadband upgrades and data purchases, patrons are encouraged to join the tens of thousands of customers who now enjoy the ultimate convenience by registering online and controlling their account with ‘My TelBru’, the mobile application available for both Android and iOS users that can easily be downloaded from their respective app stores.
