BAIDURI Bank rounded off the year with the coveted Bank of the Year award presented by The Banker Magazine during a ceremony at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane, London recently, marking the bank’s 4th international award achievement.
This is also the 13th time that the bank received this accolade, a press release stated.
Receiving the award on behalf of the bank was CEO of Baiduri Bank Pierre Imhof. He said that Baiduri has undergo several developments for the past 18 months such as the portfolio acquisition of a departing bank, the upgrade of their banking systems and the launch of new products and enhancement of many existing offerings.
“It gives us great pride in being recognised as the Bank of the Year for Brunei by a leading international financial publication. I would also like to thank our clients and partners for their loyalty and trust in Baiduri Bank,” he added.
The Banker, world’s premier banking and finance resource, looks beyond raw data to determine the award winners where the editorial team looks for evidence of banks setting new standards for their local industries whether it be through the use of new technology or innovative ways of expanding their business.
Judging of the awards, is meanwhile, carried out by an editorial committee on the basis of submitted entries and date from The Banker’s database.
Baiduri received three other international awards earlier this year namely, the ‘Domestic Retail Bank of the Year for Brunei 2018’ and ‘The Credit Card Initiative of the Year for Brunei 2018’ from the Asian Banking and Finance Magazine and the ‘Best Banking Group for Brunei 2018’ from World Finance Magazine.
