DPMM FC marched to the first round of the DST FA Cup after they breezed past Rainbow FC 4-0 in the playoff stage at the Jerudong Park Mini Stadium last night.
DPMM FC, the ‘B’ team to the senior squad that compete in the Singapore Premier League, picked up their fourth consecutive clean sheet this season with three of those coming in the league.
The Jerudong-based side raced into a 3-0 lead at half-time following an opener from Imam Mahdi bin Suhaimi in the 12th minute and a double from rising star Md Hakeme Yazid bin Said in the 15th and 23rd minute.
Md Hakeme Yazid, who is following in the footsteps of his elder brothers Shahrazen and Adi, completed his hat-trick in the 72nd minute.
The young forward also registered back-to-back hat tricks in a space of two weeks having first achieved the feat in the DST Premier League against Panchor Murai in their last competitive match.
Other teams that have confirmed their place in the next round – which will feature DST Super League clubs – are Panchor Murai FC, Seri Wira FC and BSRC FT.
