THE Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) conducted a briefing on the dangers of drug abuse and prevention at the Multipurpose Hall, Level 6, of the MoHA building yesterday.
Fifty-five officers and staff from the MoHA and departments under the ministry attended the briefing.
Acting Senior Special Duties Officer at the MoHA Mohamed Helmy bin Haji Jumat was also present. Assistant Narcotics Officer at the PMO Haji Mohd Eddy bin Haji Mohd Zain delivered the briefing.
The briefing was an initiative of the MoHA to promote awareness among the officers and staff on the dangers and prevention of drug abuse in the public service.
The briefing sought to disseminate information on drugs to educate on issues related to drug abuse and legal actions, to explain to officers and staff on the importance of drug abuse prevention, penalties imposed on civil servants and a 100-hour Policy Achievement (training hours) for officers and staff of the ministry.
