SIX groups participated in the E-sport tournament organised by the Social Games Club of Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Sultan Bolkiah Campus (SBC) at its Mechanical Lecture Theatre on January 30.
It was organised as part of their semester competitions to promote active participation in harnessing skills during extra-curricular activities.
The fifth E-sport tournament marked the first time it held a first-person shooter tournament by working in pairs.
The first place winners were Nur Izzah and Boniface from team ‘N’s Duo’ followed by Muqaddim and Aleem from team ‘Meiji’ and Muiz and Faiq from team ‘LSL’.
Boniface bin Kuking from N’s Duo received the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
The tournament aimed to enhance participants’ communication and coordination skills as well as provide a deeper level of interaction.
It also sought to motivate students to work effectively with team members to reach a common goal.
