A TOTAL of 17 participants from the Belia Cinta Tanah Air Programme (PBCTA) in the Tutong District organised a distribution of national flags in conjunction with the 35th National Day celebration at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Kampong Bukit in Mukim Ukong recently.
Penghulu of Mukim Ukong Omar bin Abdul Aziz was the guest of honour.
Head of Youth and Sports Department in the Tutong District Kamil bin Lamat handed over the national flags to the guest of honour, who distributed the flags to six Kampong Bukit residents.
The event also included a visit to the Galeri Warisan Kraftangan of Kampong Bukit and a briefing by the head of the gallery before heading to two houses of the village’s residents to distribute and hoist the flags.
It is hoped the PBCTA can help instil patriotism and community spirit among the youth towards loving and appreciating the country, as well as produce youth with volunteerism spirit in them.
