MOHD Fadhli bin Haji Lamat, an engineer by profession and a designer in his spare time, has come up with the Negaraku 2K19 Jersey in time for the 35th National Day celebration.
The idea was born as he pondered on what to wear for the big day. The jersey will allow users to demonstrate their patriotic spirit.
The jersey is designed with the traditional Songket motif. The word Brunei is written in Jawi as a sign of Islam as the principle of life. The national colours of Brunei brings a sense of nationhood.
Mohd Fadhli worked hard on designing the second edition of the jersey (the first was designed last year), ensuring it be ready before the big day. It is made of lighter material suitable for the hot weather.
Mohd Fadhli and family will be donning the jersey he created during the National Day celebration this weekend.
“It will be good to see the Negaraku 2K19 jersey worn at the parade this Saturday. It can also be worn for other national events such as the royal birthday of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam,” he said.
