TEAM Bahri, a pairing of Sufri bin Haji Mohin and Bahren bin Haji Abdul Rahman from Wisdom Bowls Club (WBC) Brunei Darussalam emerged champions of the 2019 Open Pairs Lawn Bowl Tournament after defeating WBC’s Team Double Trouble 13-11 at the Lawn Bowls Arena of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas recently.
Held in conjunction with the 35th National Day of Brunei Darussalam, the tournament started on February 15 with 11 participating teams, including teams from Royal Brunei Airlines Lawn Bowls Club.
Veteran Lion Roar 60 represented by Haji Mat Rasil bin Haji Ahmad and Haji Mohd Taha bin Haji Mohd Tahir took third place after defeating WBC’s Youth Under-25 pair Muhd Nuh Jaafar and Awangku Md Wazien bin Pengiran Jamaludin 23-7.
President of WBC Haji Johari bin Achee presented the prizes.
