KDB Daruttaqwa left the country yesterday for deployment to Qingdao, People’s Republic of China; Busan, Republic of Korea; and Changi, Republic of Singapore.
Commanding Officer of KDB Daruttaqwa Commander Haji Edy Jofren bin Pehin Datu Penglima Colonel (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, leads the delegation.
The Royal Brunei Navy’s (RBN) KDB Daruttaqwa will participate in various events and exercises including a Multinational Naval Activities of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the PLA Navy, ASEAN Defence Ministers Meeting Plus Expert Working Group on Maritime Security Field Training Exercise 1 & 2 (ADMM-Plus EWG on MS FTX 1 & 2) and International Maritime Defence Exhibition (IMDEX) Asia 2019.
Commander of the RBN First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad was the guest of honour during the send-off.
A Doa Selamat was read by Muhammad Rafi’uddin bin Haji Md Ali to bless their journey.
Also present were senior officers, officers and personnel of RBN and family members.
This deployment marks a significant milestone in establishing RBN as a reliable maritime partner in the region on both bilateral and multilateral platforms. KDB Daruttaqwa is scheduled to return to Muara Naval Base on May 20.
