SOME 30 children from the Paediatric Ward at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital was recently visited by and presented with gifts from The Coffee Bean Brunei under the franchise’s social responsibility programme, Caring Cup, and in conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya celebration.
Making at the visit were The Coffee Bean Brunei’s Managing Director Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Abdul Mun’im bin Pengiran Anak Haji Tahiruddin and personnel.
The event began with a Doa Selamat recitation by Syukri bin Razali from the franchise’s marketing department, said a press release.
Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Abdul Mun’im then presented the children with goodie bags from The Coffee Bean Brunei.
Each bag contained a cheesecake, soft toy and children storybook entitled ‘Master Davey and the Magic Tea House: Legend of the Blue Tiger’, fully supported by PAR Group of Companies.
Each child also received a Hari Raya packet containing donations made by the public through the Caring Cup activities and programmes.
Marketing Manager Awangku Addeni bin Pengiran Tajuddin shared, “One of The Coffee Bean Brunei’s core principles is our commitment to social responsibility. We believe that it is not enough to do well, but we must do good.
“It was wonderful to meet all the children and to be able to speak with their parents and guardians, nurses and doctors. Our sincere appreciation goes to the RIPAS Hospital for their time and the opportunity for us to visit the Paediatric Ward.
“Our special thanks also go to members of the public who have donated to the Caring Cup through donation boxes that were at all outlets.”
“Our Caring Cup initiatives range from preserving the environment to also assisting in improving education and support for those in need,” he added.
“Current ongoing Caring Cup programmes include support in learning experiences and developments for special needs students. We are also happy to announce that there are a number of Caring Cup initiatives lined-up that the public can look forward to, such as a blood donation drive, charity sporting event and more.”
One of the staff volunteers, Hamizah Ali, also shared, “It was a rewarding experience today, especially after seeing the smiles on the children’s faces, as we passed them the goodie bags. I’m glad that I was given the opportunity to participate in today’s Caring Cup visit.”
