The Ministry of Health (MoH) will conduct random testing for students, teachers and staff once primary level students return to school at a later date to be announced by the Ministry of Education (MoE).
This was stated by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar in response to a question raised on the progress of swab testing on frontliners, teachers and others during the COVID-19 press conference at the ministry’s Al-‘Afiah Hall yesterday.
The MoH has been actively conducting SARS-CoV-2 laboratory test screening and recently expanded the test for those working with young children at child care centres and elders at senior citizen centres.
