BRUNEI Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) yesterday received a visit from eight students under the Sultan’s Scholar scheme and five officials from Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan), led by Hajah Donnaliza binti Abdullah Puasa, Assistant Managing Director of Yayasan.
The purpose of the visit was to gain better understanding of the company and its challenges in the downstream industry, a press release said.
Upon arrival, a safety briefing was presented by BMC Safety Inspector, Mohd Amirrul bin Ismail.
The group of students and officials heard a briefing about the company’s profile which was followed by a question-and-answer session with BMC Training Operation Instructors, Asnawi bin Haji Mohamad and Haji Yusni bin Haji Mohamad.
They were then given the opportunity to tour the plant by bus.
