Brunei Darussalam has yet to have the ability to declare its success in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic, despite seeing 42 days without new cases, as infections are still rampant outside the country.
This was said by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during the daily press conference yesterday, in response to a viral rumour claiming that Brunei is currently free from COVID-19.
“We need to take precautionary measures. Although the situation is currently under control in this country, it cannot be said that we are winning over the pandemic yet,” he said.
