Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali’s (UNISSA) Book Corner was launched at Ma’had Islam Brunei in Tutong recently, for UNISSA to share its publication with Arabic secondary schools and promote intellectual activities among students and teachers.
UNISSA Research and Publication Centre Acting Director Dr Ismail bin Abdullah presented the book contribution and UNISSA’s Book Corner agreement letter to Ma’had Islam Brunei Principal Pengiran Haji Asmady bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin.
UNISSA contributed 197 titles covering knowledge disciplines including Islamic Studies, Law, Economy, Culture, Civilisation, Arabic Language Learning and other fields published in three languages (Arabic, Malay and English).
The book corner is one of UNISSA’s efforts to promote its publications as a reference material for secondary schools and higher learning institutes, add value to students’ quality of learning, and inculcate an interest in reading. On July 30, UNISSA’s Book Corner was also unveiled at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School (SUAMPRIPAHS) and Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School (SMALHB).
