The opening ceremony of the 28th Executive Development Programme for Senior Government Officers (EDPSGO) and 29th Executive Development Programme for Middle Management Officers (EDPMMO) was held at Lecture Hall 2 of the Library Complex at Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) yesterday.

Permanent Secretary (Civil Service, Welfare, International and Media) at the Prime Minister’s Office Mohamed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohamed Yunos was the guest of honour.

In a welcoming speech, Dean of School of Computing and Informatics at UTB Dr Mohamad Saiful bin Haji Omar as the Executive Development Programme Coordinator thanked the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and the Public Service Department (JPA) for giving UTB the opportunity to conduct the programmes.

The EDPSGO organised by the JPA is one of the flagship programmes under the implementation of the Civil Service Leadership Pipeline (CSLP) created to support the aspirations of Brunei Vision 2035 through the Institutional Development Strategy under the Public Service Framework.

The purpose of CSLP is to provide a leadership pool among the second division officers and above to assist in the strategic planning of human resources in the public service.
